Freedom to Human Spirit in Lithuania!

Till now in the West little and in Lithuania nothing at all is known about man’s freedom of spirit, though without the freedom of spirit and religion neither joy, happiness, goodness, beauty, nor living truth are possible. Without freedom of spirit, people commit suicides, kill, rob, drink, use drugs, get ill and suffer. Therefore it seems natural that not a single fact is known till now that such things would happen with free in spirit meditators. Only a few people in the West were searching for it - Eckhart, Francis of Assisi. Meanwhile in the East, thousands of buddhas - Gautama Buddha, Mahavira, Nansen, Krishnamurti, Osho and others found freedom of spirit and shared it. Those who meditate and have explored consciously death and passing from one life to the other, and even more - are enlightened, found that god, messiahs, prophets or the highest god’s person Krishna are necessary for spirituality only as much as for science. Even Jesus, without speaking about Mary, pope or saints, was not looking for freedom of spirit. However, for true men, true spirituality and true godliness are necessary, but not a virtual god. For meditator and for buddha, god relates to godliness as much as Santa Claus with frost. However, one doesn’t need to believe in true things, one believes only in virtual matters. True spirituality and freedom of spirit is brought to man first of all by those religions whose foundation is meditation. Among them there is religious community “Osho Ojas meditation center”.

In 2003, RL Ministry of Justice (MJ), representing Christians fundamentalists, without any justification refused to register a religious community Osho Ojas meditation center. After the community’s complaint to Vilnius Region Administrative Court (VRAC), the latter ordered to MJ to review this decision. After six months of “review”, MJ again refused to do that declaring that this isn‘t religion, “because it is not a religion”. <…>. Without this “outstanding” statement, MJ additionally explained that “to refuse registration is possible when its activities violate human rights and freedoms or public order”, but didn‘t explain how it has got at such “fundamental” conclusion, because there isn’t known any fact of such violation. Lithuania hasn’t yet seen such human freedoms and rights that are present in Ojas community. The community does not interfere into a family at all also. That is an individual matter of a person. On June 2004, the community again submitted a claim to VRAC <…>. Some “faults” of new religions in a family context were presented and propagated by Christians in the May 10, 2004 national LTV broadcasting “Visuomenes interesas” (“An Interest of Society”), titled: “What are new religious movements in Lithuania - sectarian soul catchers or their saviors?”

Currently in Lithuania Catholics and their criers contemptuously call meditators and other cherishers of new spirituality sectarians, tried to imprison Ojas leader by falsifying facts, one meditator was forced into psychiatric hospital, and for her calming down she was tied to bed and given an injection of “tranquilizers”. Later on, because of her unwillingness to leave meditations, she was kept in psychiatric hospital for 52 days according to the maximum European standards. The girl almost got mad because of studies in Faculty of Catholic Theology in Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University and because of “psychiatric treatment”. Children were taken away from the other meditator, etc. Because meditators do not want to pursue fanatic or discriminatory fancies of Christian parents or spouses, Catholics accuse meditators of family destruction and continue fiercely to look for ways to push them to underground, to defame, imprison, etc. A henchman of the Conference of Lithuanian Catholic Bishops, a government’s advisor on religious issues Mr. P. Plumpa started that campaign of despising and discrimination in the year 1996 ( See Inquisitional information on religious confessions). An inquisitional relay he started was taken by fundamentalist mass media. An example of inquisitional falsification and defamation may be the June 2003 LNK TV A. Kudabiene’s broadcast “Sroves”. ( Ojas response to the broadcast you may see Insane children of Catholics want to meditate). In that broadcast fundamentalist parents and psychiatrists - violators of healthy daughter Neringa Mockute who was forced into psychiatric hospital, are inquisitionally supported. ( See Neringa’s Letter to LNK falsifiers). We also know other cases when healthy individuals of other religious confessions were put into psychiatric hospitals in Lithuania.

This inquisitional atmosphere seems to be pretty natural, because politicians almost hand in hand go with Christians fundamentalists. Through such degrading union Lithuania is given to Mary already more than one decade. Among them meditators also. It is hard to believe that such retrograde things happen in Lithuania of the 21st century! Relevant draft laws of “sectarians” Christian re-education are already prepared in the Seimas. Fundamentalists think that this will unite Lithuania and will join its forces. The last KGB fuehrer of the Soviet Union urged to do the same in year 1990.

In the beginning of June, one hundred the most prominent European artists drew attention to the religious fundamentalists’ danger to freedom of thought and conscience. It seems that Christians do not know that not unity but oneness is natural and that a man is not force, but consciousness in the first place. Though still superstitions and inquisition have been wining but it seems that today one will succeed to stop riotous Christian fundamentalists, because not only healthy part of Lithuania but also of Europe helps the sane mind. Besides, officials want European offices and money. Therefore the chances for meditators to survive and share the buddhafield - love and consciousness - are present and are growing daily.

We are for the unconditional spiritual freedom of all people of Lithuania, and among them also of old and new religions. That undoubtedly will light the new flames of love and consciousness in hearts and souls of Lithuanian people.
