To the LEADERS of LITHUANIAN and FOREIGN MEANS
of MASS MEDIA, INSTITUTIONS and ORGANIZATIONS
for the PROTECTION of HUMAN RIGHTS and FREEDOMS

Dear Lithuanian, European and other foreign proponents and supporters of freedom of speech, press and religion,

Currently in Lithuania a process of registration of new meditative religion community Osho Ojas Meditation Center is in progress. During a former and present registration period the State Security Department of the Republic of Lithuania, State Tax Inspectorate, Ministry of Justice, police, courts, etc. use impermissible means to restrict freedoms of religion and to promulgate tendentious information.

In January 5, 2004 after our first announcement to the press through “BNS Kurjerio sistema” (BNS messenger system) titled “Osho Ojas Meditation Center on Religious Freedom in Lithuania”, heads of BNS without any notification suspended a possibility of Metchislovas Vrubliauskas, a representative for press of so far not registered religious community, to use BNS messenger system. Therefore, as currently we do not see other options to promulgate truth and truth on restrictions of religious freedom in Lithuania, we send to you directly An Inquiry to RL Ministry of Justice and Vilnius County State Tax Inspectorate REGARDING A RIGHT TO FREELY PRACTICE RELIGION that was foreseen to be announced through “BNS Kurjerio sistema” (BNS messenger system).

We say that not a single democratic nation or state, that have freedoms of economy, speech, press and others, unless it becomes spiritually free, can be neither right nor in fact free and is threatened by the dangers of various dictatorships.
